The IBAA Board is excited to announce Allison Yager of Dubuque, Iowa as the 2024 IBAA Scholarship recipient! Allison was chosen as this year's recipient for her dedication to her profession and eagerness to pursue a career in business aviation here in Iowa. Allison is a recent graduate of the University of Dubuque where she double majored in Flight Operations and Aviation Management with the goal of becoming a corporate pilot.
This year's ATP-CTP scholarship was made possible thanks to FlightSafety International. IBAA and FlightSafety have partnered to help further the next generation of Iowa business aviation professionals. The Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP-CTP) fulfills the academic and flight training requirements of 14 CFR ยง61.156. Upon successful completion of the ATP-CTP, and once all other requirements have been met, the candidate will be eligible to take the FAA Airline Transport Pilot Multi-Engine Airplane knowledge test.
As a current Flight Instructor at the University of Dubuque, this scholarship will help Allison begin the process of earning her Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. In addition to her studies and flight training in Dubuque she has also served as President of the Women in Aviation Dubuque Chapter. Her passion for business aviation and her desire to encourage more women to seek out opportunities within business aviation are a few of the many reasons IBAA chose Allison as this year’s scholarship recipient.
Congratulations to Allison on taking the next step to become part of the business aviation community in Iowa. IBAA would like to thank FlightSafety International for their support of our organization and scholarship program as we seek to grow and improve the number of Iowa business aviation professionals.
