The IBAA scholarship committee will meet in April to choose and notify the recipient.

Aviation is a unique industry with a need for a highly skilled and professionally prepared workforce. The challenges to recruit, retain and ensure the sustainability of the business aviation industry in Iowa are of paramount importance. Furthermore, it is recognized that obtaining an Airline Transport Pilot certificate is difficult when not employed by an airline, while still required for many business aviation jobs in Iowa. Therefore, the Iowa Business Aviation Association (IBAA) established this scholarship in partnership with FlightSafety International to provide support to an aspiring aviator. One recipient will be chosen in the spring of 2025 to attend an ATP-CTP course at a FlightSafety International location.  In addition to the ATP-CTP scholarship this year IBAA, along with some IBAA members across Iowa came together to offer a CFI Scholarship! This summer one recipient will be chosen to further their aviation career with this CFI scholarship!
