IBAA is excited to have Guy Lieser as our keynote speaker for our next quarterly luncheon, April 28th.  Guy will be discussing ARTCC issues with us.  Modern Aviation at KDSM will be hosting the event with free parking for those who fly in.

Guy Lieser is a seasoned aviation professional with experience on both sides of the microphone. In 2013, he retired from the FAA after a 34-year career working in multiple roles including air traffic controller, airspace system inspection pilot, quality assurance specialist, training specialist, safety program director, and operational supervisor.

Concurrently with his FAA career, Guy owned and operated an aviation consulting firm that specialized in buying, selling, and appraising aircraft for clients worldwide. In 2020, he was hired for the top position at Carver Aero LLC, based in Davenport, IA. During his four-year tenure as CEO, the company grew from two FBO locations in Iowa, to thirteen FBO and SASO locations across the country. Guy also  engineered the company’s rebranding to Revv Aviation. Today, he continues to work as the company’s Vice President of Business Development and Sales.

Guy is an ATP certificate holder with more than 8,000 hours of pilot-in-command time. Additionally, he holds CFII, MEI, and IGI certificates. Over the past forty years he’s logged more than 4,000 hours of flight instruction. He also volunteers as a FAASTeam Rep with the Greater Chicago FSDO and is widely recognized as a subject matter expert on air traffic procedures, aircraft valuation, and other related topics. He enjoys sharing his passion for aviation with audiences across the country.
